Today’s speaker was our own member,Paul Chaddaway. He gave us a talk entitled “Photography in Retirement”.
When Paul was working ,his activities included swimming, squash and running ,including the London Marathon. However, due to aches and pains following these activities he moved onto the more gentle pursuit of photography in 2012 when he retired. He specialises in landscapes and wildlife. His first camera was a Canon ,but he has now progressed to using a Fuji. He showed several photos ranging from castles, bridges and sunsets. He explained the different challenges of taking photos in the varied conditions of weather and light. He prefers cloud to blue skies! He showed several photos of Meltham that members recognised including Folly Dolly Falls and Meltham Golf Club. His wildlife photos included puffins , robins, deers kissing and hares fighting.
Members enjoyed his informative and amusing talk and asked several questions.
