Crime Prevention

Today’s speaker was Libby Walker crime prevention Dewsbury police who gave an overview of her role in crime prevention along with advise to members on how to reduce the risk of becoming a victim in the future.

She noted 6 burglaries a day in Kirklees with open doors and window particularly in hot weather being a major risk. She gave a number of examples of how to reduce the risks and some practical advice on the types of equipment available at a small cost.

Members were given the opportunity to ask questions and give examples of their personal experiences.
