Today’s speaker was Martin Rowley who gave a very interesting talk on Electric Cars. 
Martin worked in the motor trade and has owned 128 cars in his lifetime. Electric powered cars are not as recent as you think, as early as 1898 people were experimenting with electric cars. There are many different types of electric cars, fully electric, Hybrid Self charge and plug in Hybrid. but technology is changing so fast, batteries are getting smaller and have more range in them, which is a big concern for motorists changing to electric, as well as the number of charging points. China is a massive player in the electric car Business with BYD outselling Tesla and the European car makers and building massive 35 square mile car production plants. 
Martin’s knowledge of the Electric car business was very impressive and he gave an excellent talk.
