Victim Support
Graham Smith
Graham related how he became involved in Victim Support through his work in the Prison Service and a couple of incidents where he himself was a victim.
Once he was taken hostage inside the prison. Another time he and a colleague were attacked by three men wielding iron bars. Although both incidents took place many years ago, sounds and circumstances still trigger a response.
Victim support includes more than just the person or people directly involved but also their families. It includes witnesses who are often afraid of giving evidence for fear of retaliation.
